Solutions4Health products are not just essential oils — they’re nutraceuticals, meaning our oils are already emulsified in certified organic extra virgin olive oil to ensure proper dilution and to enable for immediate internal and external use.
When you are using it as a general health tonic or to boost your immune system, you can take minimal dosages in accordance with the directions on our labelling. When you take the product daily as per the dosage recommendation on the label, we do not see the need for a break.
In addition to its use as a daily tonic, oregano oil is traditionally used to support a range of health issues. As a TGA-listed product, we cannot provide dosage advice beyond what appears on our labelling. For higher or therapeutic dosages, guidance must come from a qualified health practitioner, as they may recommend different approaches depending on the issue being addressed.
Oregano oil has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties. Accordingly, some practitioners may suggest higher dosages for specific concerns. If taken at a therapeutic dose (under professional guidance) for an extended period, then a break and a good probiotic may be beneficial. As with pharmaceutical antibiotics, oregano oil targets bacteria — and you may experience some bacterial die-off (Herxheimer reaction), which can make you feel worse before you feel better.
