    Keeping hospital visits at bay

Our oregano grows exactly where nature intended, thriving high in the Mediterranean mountains in a rare environment of calcareous rock, not soil. This unique habitat produces oregano with a naturally potent profile that simply cannot be replicated in farmed or lab-grown plants. Attempts to grow oregano outside its natural home consistently result in weaker oils with reduced quality and diminished levels of the active constituents that give oregano its remarkable properties.

    Unique Species

    The species we use, Origanum vulgare, is prized for its naturally high levels of carvacrol and very low levels of thymol. Carvacrol is the main active constituent linked with oregano’s therapeutic qualities, while thymol, although naturally present, can be toxic in high concentrations. This balance — high carvacrol and low thymol — is what makes our oil uniquely safe and suitable for regular, daily use.     How long will my bottle last?

    If the recommended dosage is taken (1 capsule daily), a 10 capsule blister packet will last 10 days, a 30 capsule bottle will last 1 month, a 60 capsule bottle will last 2 months, a 120 capsule bottle will last 4 months

    Yes! They are vegan VegiCaps made from vegetable cellulose (modified food starch).

    What does the TGA do?

    The Therapeutic Goods Administration is part of the Australian Government Department of Health that is responsible for the regulation of the safety, quality, efficacy and advertising of therapeutic goods. The TGA performs these functions through administration of the relevant legislation, the Therapeutic goods Act 1989 and related legislation such as the Therapeutic Goods Regulations 1990 and the Therapeutics Goods Advertising Code (No.2) 2018.

    Isn't it bad to take essential oils internally?

    Oil of Wild Oregano is considered a "hot" essential oil. Oil of Wild oregano oil feels "spicy hot" when you swallow it (or when it touches any mucous membrane). The spicy hot feeling is normal and is a typical characteristic of the oil . The burning sensation will pass. It is important to remember however that not all oils are created for internal use. Solutions4Health Oil of Wild Oregano is already appropriately diluted with a carrier oil so that it can be used for both internal consumption and external use.

    Yes! PubMed is the world's #1 database for scientific evidence based literature. There are over 2,000 studies in PubMed alone on Origanum vulgare. There are also many more evidence based studies on the therapeutic properties of Oregano Oil.

    Are your products tested?

    Yes! Many analyses are performed, such as Microbiological and Chemical Analyses including use of Gas Chromatography on the Oil of Wild Oregano for the presence of harmful amounts of infectious microbes, chemicals or heavy metals.

    Is your oil standardised?

    At Solutions4Health, none of our products are standardized or adulterated — and they never will be. Standardization requires altering the oil by adding, removing, or artificially concentrating constituents. This disrupts the natural balance of active compounds and reduces overall efficacy.
    For example, many companies manipulate oregano oil to boost carvacrol levels. However, research shows that pure carvacrol alone is less effective than the whole Oil of Wild Oregano. The therapeutic benefits come from the synergy of the three main chemical constituents working together, just as nature intended. Altering this balance through fractionation, addition of isolates, or removal of natural components diminishes its natural integrity.
    The same is true for our Oil of Pure Black Seed Capsules. These are also non-standardized and never artificially altered. Our current batch contains a naturally occurring thymoquinone level of 1.74%, which is well above the effective range (0.16–0.7%) demonstrated in human clinical studies. Because black seed oil is 100% natural, its taste, colour, and constituent profile can vary slightly from batch to batch depending on growing conditions — a sign of authenticity rather than manipulation.

    Can I take this product at the same time as other products in the Solutions4Health range?

    All our products can be used in combination, apart from our blends as they already contain dosages of Oil of Wild Oregano. We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before combining multiple supplements or making changes to your supplement routine, especially if you are taking any prescription medications.

    Is this product suitable for vegetarians or vegans?

    Yes, all products are suitable for vegetarians! Our only product not suitable for vegans is our Oil of Wild Oregano Drops (lozenges) as they contain honey.

    When you are using it as a general health tonic or to boost your immune system, you can take minimal dosages in accordance with the directions on our labelling. When you take the product daily as per the dosage recommendation on the label, we do not see the need for a break.
    In addition to its use as a daily tonic, oregano oil is traditionally used to support a range of health issues. As a TGA-listed product, we cannot provide dosage advice beyond what appears on our labelling. For higher or therapeutic dosages, guidance must come from a qualified health practitioner, as they may recommend different approaches depending on the issue being addressed.
    Oregano oil has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties. Accordingly, some practitioners may suggest higher dosages for specific concerns. If taken at a therapeutic dose (under professional guidance) for an extended period, then a break and a good probiotic may be beneficial. As with pharmaceutical antibiotics, oregano oil targets bacteria — and you may experience some bacterial die-off (Herxheimer reaction), which can make you feel worse before you feel better.
