    What does the TGA do?

    The Therapeutic Goods Administration is part of the Australian Government Department of Health that is responsible for the regulation of the safety, quality, efficacy and advertising of therapeutic goods. The TGA performs these functions through administration of the relevant legislation, the Therapeutic goods Act 1989 and related legislation such as the Therapeutic Goods Regulations 1990 and the Therapeutics Goods Advertising Code 2021.

    Isn't it bad to take essential oils internally?

    Oil of Wild Oregano & Turmeric Oil is not a pure essential oil — it’s a nutraceutical blend that’s already pre-emulsified in Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil for safe internal and external use.
    Oil of Wild Oregano is considered a “hot” oil and can feel warm or spicy when swallowed or applied, which is a natural characteristic of its active compounds (carvacrol and thymol). This warming sensation is temporary and completely normal.

    Have there been scientific studies?

    Yes! Both oregano (Origanum vulgare) and turmeric (Curcuma longa) have been extensively researched for their bioactive compounds and broad-spectrum benefits.
    There are over 2,000 studies in PubMed on Origanum vulgare, exploring its antimicrobial, antioxidant, and immune-supportive actions. Turmeric and its active constituents (curcuminoids and turmerones) have been the focus of over 9,000 studies (on Pubmed alone!) investigating their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cellular health properties.

    Are your products tested?

    Yes! Many analyses are performed, such as Microbiological and Chemical Analyses including use of Gas Chromatography on the Oil of Wild Oregano for the presence of harmful amounts of infectious microbes, chemicals or heavy metals.

    Is your oil standardised?

    At Solutions4Health, none of our products are standardized or adulterated — and they never will be. Standardization requires altering the oil by adding, removing, or artificially concentrating constituents. This disrupts the natural balance of active compounds and reduces overall efficacy.
    For example, many companies manipulate oregano oil to boost carvacrol levels. However, research shows that pure carvacrol alone is less effective than the whole Oil of Wild Oregano. The therapeutic benefits come from the synergy of the three main chemical constituents working together, just as nature intended. Altering this balance through fractionation, addition of isolates, or removal of natural components diminishes its natural integrity.
    The same is true for our Oil of Pure Black Seed Capsules. These are also non-standardized and never artificially altered. Our current batch contains a naturally occurring thymoquinone level of 1.74%, which is well above the effective range (0.16–0.7%) demonstrated in human clinical studies. Because black seed oil is 100% natural, its taste, colour, and constituent profile can vary slightly from batch to batch depending on growing conditions — a sign of authenticity rather than manipulation.
    We believe in offering you what nature provided: pure, potent, and unadulterated oils, free from synthetic fillers or artificial enhancement.     Can I take this product at the same time as other products in the Solutions4Health range?

    Yes — our products can generally be used together, however we recommend not combining this blend with any other product that already contains Oil of Wild Oregano, such as our OIl of Wild Oregano Liquid (or Capsules), our Fortified Defence or Black Seed or other blends, to avoid duplication dosage of Oil of Wild Oregano.

    We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before combining multiple supplements or making changes to your supplement routine, especially if you are taking any prescription medications.

    Is this product suitable for vegetarians or vegans?

    Yes, all products are suitable for vegetarians! Our only product not suitable for vegans is our Oil of Wild Oregano Drops (lozenges) as they contain honey.

    Can I take it every day?

    Yes, all products are formulated for daily use.
    Solutions4Health products are not just essential oils — they’re nutraceuticals, meaning our oils are already emulsified in certified organic extra virgin olive oil when needed to ensure proper dilution and to enable for immediate internal and external use.

    When you are using it as a general health tonic or to boost your immune system, you can take minimal dosages in accordance with the directions on our labelling. When you take the product daily as per the dosage recommendation on the label, we do not see the need for a break.

    In addition to its use as a daily tonic, oregano oil is traditionally used to support a range of health issues. As a TGA-listed product, we cannot provide dosage advice beyond what appears on our labelling. For higher or therapeutic dosages, guidance must come from a qualified health practitioner, as they may recommend different approaches depending on the issue being addressed.

    Oregano oil has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties. Accordingly, some practitioners may suggest higher dosages for specific concerns. If taken at a therapeutic dose (under professional guidance) for an extended period, then a break and a good probiotic may be beneficial. As with pharmaceutical antibiotics, oregano oil targets bacteria — and you may experience some bacterial die-off (Herxheimer reaction), which can make you feel worse before you feel better.
