What is Sinusitis and Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever)

Allergic rhinitis, or more commonly known as hay fever, is an allergic reaction to allergens including dirt, pollution, animal hair or the most common offender, pollen. The main portion of hay fever sufferers are allergic to grass pollen and a small portion are allergic to tree or weed pollen1 .

Irritants such as pollen can cause the release of histamine. The air-filled hollow cavities around your nose and nasal passages are your sinuses. When your sinuses become inflamed via the signal of the histamine release, fluid can accumulate and interfere with normal drainage of mucus. This can result in trouble breathing from the nose as well as swelling of your facial tissue.2

Sinusitis is the inflammation of the paranasal sinuses and is often associated with bacterial, viral or fungal infection. Depending on which sinuses are affected, you may experience a headache, fever, nagging cough, facial swelling, watery eyes or even a toothache.

How can Oil of Wild Oregano help?

Sinusitis can be relieved by the aid of Oil of Wild Oregano because of its many active constituents such as Carvacrol, Rosmarinic acid, and Terpenes. If your sinusitis is caused by bacterial, viral or a fungal infection, Oil of Wild Oregano has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties that can deal with these microorganisms. The constituents that assist in this department are both Carvacrol and Terpenes; they have antimicrobial properties3 while the fungi are taken care of by the Thymol constituent4. The Oil’s health benefits continue with the flavonoids possessing anti-allergy, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that can further treat sinusitis.

It is important that the Oregano oil you use has had its natural state preserved, with no adulteration of any of its constituents. This is because all of the active constituents in their natural state and levels act synergistically together to provide its amazing benefits. It is imperative to remember that this is a potent natural medicine, and only nature can get these levels right. A simple explanation might be as follows. Different ‘batches’ of Wild Oregano will have grown in slightly different environmental seasons and conditions. As such, different ‘batches’ may present differences in a particular constituent that is ever so mild – but it is only the science of nature that can adjust and produce the other elements in precisely the form and level required for that perfect synergy to continue. Solutions4Health brings Oil of Wild Oregano to its consumer with no adulteration of the steam distilled oil. Beware of other oregano oils on the market which have been altered and standardised; they can result in the oil being ineffective with possible side effects.

Rhinitis can also be relieved by Oil of Wild Oregano’s powerful anti-inflammatory, antifungal and antibacterial properties. The active ingredient in the oil that can solve your hay fever problems is Rosmarinic acid. It is a proven natural antihistamine. It can effectively reduce inflammation in an allergic reaction. It has been shown in human trials to have an anti-inflammatory action in the body for treating seasonal allergies5. Unlike unnatural synthetic pharmaceutical antihistamines, Oil of Wild

Oregano is a natural and effective antihistamine that can help you without the side effects6.
